Job summary

Lightmatter, Inc. in Mountain View, CA, seeks a Power Integrity engineer to drive next‑gen products from concept to development. You will join the Power Integrity and Packaging team to influence architecture, design, and analysis through lab bring‑up to meet power integrity requirements.

Collaborate with hardware designers and layout engineers to implement PDN improvements, perform simulations and measurements, and contribute to design reviews and documentation.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of power delivery and PI analysis for high performance CPUs/SoCs.
• Strong experience with PI tools: PowerSI/PowerDC/IDEM/H-Spice/ADS.
• PCB design and layout considerations for PI, layer stack-up and vias.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for PI issues.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and analysis of PDNs for digital and analog SoC domains.
• Model regulator characteristics to aid in component selection.
• Use simulation tools to extract impedance profiles and build N-port models.
• Perform time- and frequency-domain simulations of supply rails.
• Conduct lab measurements with programmable loads and oscilloscopes.
• Collaborate with hardware designers and layout engineers to improve PDN.
• Participate in design reviews and document analysis results and recommendations.
• Monitor PDN constraints during layout and assist system-level tradeoffs.
