Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic Resources Business Group Data Steward to shape how data is defined, used, and reused across HDR’s Business Group and HDR. This role focuses on simplifying data, ensuring consistency, and enabling better decisions through data governance and collaboration with HDR Data Operations and technology leadership.

Reporting to the Resources Business Group Technology Director, the role emphasizes ownership of data definitions, governance, and cross‑team alignment to support

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic leadership in data and change management.
• Experience providing data-focused solutions in large organizations.
• Industry knowledge in architecture, engineering, or construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key terms with context.
• Build alignment around data processes, priority, and usage.
• Promote responsible data access, quality, and reuse.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and lifecycle considerations.
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices across groups.
• Promote data fluency and collaborate with data science teams.
