Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. seeks a Manager – IC Sustaining Product Engineering to lead ongoing support of power IC products in San Jose, CA. You will drive sustaining activities to improve yield, cost and quality, and coordinate cross-functional teams.

This role requires strong technical background in semiconductor devices, packaging and test, with hands-on lab experience and a track record of delivering robust process improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; masters a plus.
• 7+ years IC product engineering experience; MOSFET experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Advanced semiconductor packaging, Device physics, circuit theory, reliability testing and characterization.
• Experience with ETS364/88/800 Eagle Tester, ASL1K or similar open architecture test platforms.
• Hands-on lab bench experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth transition of new products to mass production.
• Manage product changes including cost reduction programs and fab/assembly/test site transfers.
• Be the primary technical resource for addressing customer complaints and responses.
• Lead 8D team to resolve customer issues and communicate results.
• Interface with quality, reliability, customer, sales, marketing, applications, design, product, test engineers and foundry groups to address issues.
• Monitor and improve quality and yield at Fab and Backend sites; perform root-cause analysis on non-conforming materials.
• Develop systems to track performance metrics and ensure new product releases meet manufacturability requirements.
