Job summary

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is seeking an Instrument and Controls Engineer (NPG) at the Sequoyah site in Soddy Daisy, TN. This on-site role supports I&C design and troubleshooting for nuclear power facilities, requiring a strong background in control fundamentals and safety-focused operation.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in power industry I&C with DCS and instrumentation experience, plus a bachelor’s in electrical engineering. Willingness to obtain PE and to travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering degree from an accredited program, plus continuing education.
• Must have demonstrated proficiency in electrical engineering with 2 years of related experience and 1 year of nuclear power plant experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer desirable; membership in professional/technical societies desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of instrumentation and controls engineering work for projects of moderate scope.
• Maintains broad knowledge of precedents and related practices to handle complex design requirements.
• Provides procurement support, field engineering including walkdowns, modifications/maintenance, and testing.
