Location: McKinney, Texas.

WorkArrangement:On-site | Project-Based (2 months)

Position Overview

PRISMECS is seeking experienced PowerGeneration Technicians for a temporary power project in McKinney, Texas.The technicians will support the safe and reliable operation and monitoring of fourteenCAT 2 MW diesel generator units .

This assignment is expected tolast approximately two months. Technicians will work closely with the customer,PRISMECS project management, and the qualified electrical professional assignedto the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate andmonitor CAT diesel generator units during scheduled operating hours.
• Perform routineequipment walkdowns and visual inspections.
• Monitoroperating parameters, alarms, temperatures, pressures, fluid levels, andoverall generator performance.
• Complete dailyoperating logs, shift reports, and equipment status documentation.
• Perform basicpreventive checks and minor operational troubleshooting within the technician’squalifications.
• Identifyabnormal operating conditions and promptly escalation mechanical or electricalconcerns.
• Assist withgenerator startup, shutdown, loading, unloading, and operational checks asdirected.
• Coordinate withthe on-site qualified electrical professional regarding electrical conditionsand equipment safety.
• Follow sitesafety procedures, including lockout/tagout, required PPE, and establishedoperating protocols.
• Maintain aclean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support shifthandovers by communicating equipment status, alarms, open issues, and completedactivities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience operating,monitoring, or maintaining industrial diesel generators or temporary powersystems.
  
• Experience with large CATgenerator units or similar multi-megawatt power-generation equipment isstrongly preferred.
  
• Working knowledge of dieselengines, generator controls, alarms, fuel systems, cooling systems, and basicelectrical-generation principles.
  
• Ability to recognize abnormaloperating conditions and follow escalation procedures.
  
• Ability to accurately completelogs, reports, and shift documentation.
  
• Strong safety awareness andexperience following lockout/tagout procedures.
  
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts inan industrial or outdoor project environment.
  
• Ability to stand, walk, climb,bend, and perform routine equipment inspections throughout the shift.
  
• Must be authorized to work in theUnited States without sponsorship.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting temporary,rental, standby, or prime-power generator installations.
  
• CAT generator operation ormaintenance experience.
  
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, LOTO,or related safety training.
  
• Previous experience working ondata-center, utility, construction, industrial, or temporary-power projects.
  
• Mechanical or electricaltroubleshooting experience.
