Job summary

Prismecs is supporting a temporary 480V standby power project at a client site in Marshfield, Missouri. The Mechanical Technician will perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on nine Tier 4 diesel generator sets to maximize plant reliability over a 12-month assignment.

Hands-on role requires strong diesel-engine troubleshooting with mandatory Volvo engine experience. On-site work with strict adherence to safety procedures, LOTO, and permit requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of diesel power plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• Mandatory hands-on Volvo diesel engine experience, including troubleshooting and maintenance of cooling, lubrication, fuel, air-intake, and exhaust systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and OEM maintenance procedures.
• Good working knowledge of safe work practices and LOTO.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on diesel generator sets in accordance with the maintenance plan.
• Troubleshoot and repair cooling, lubrication, fuel, air-intake, and exhaust systems.
• Service Tier 4 aftertreatment components and support DEF and fuel-system management.
• Perform oil, coolant, and filter changes and conduct required fluid sampling and monitoring.
• Support fuel delivery, containment-bermin inspections, and spill-prevention activities.
• Document maintenance work and report defects, equipment running hours, and spare-parts needs to the Site O&M Lead.
• Follow site HSE procedures, LOTO requirements, and applicable permit requirements.

Position Overview

Prismecs issupporting a temporary 480V standby power system at a client site inMarshfield, Missouri. The plant consists of nine 1,250 kW Tier 4 dieselgenerators and will be operated and maintained by Prismecs for a 12-monthassignment. Site-team mobilization is planned for the first week of November2026. The Mechanical Technician will perform preventive and correctivemechanical maintenance on the diesel generator sets and associated mechanicalsystems to maintain plant availability and reliability. This is a hands-onfield role requiring strong diesel-engine troubleshooting experience, withVolvo diesel engine experience mandatory.
