Job summary

JCB, Inc. is seeking a Power Products Technical Specialist to provide real-time technical support to field technicians and maintain equipment availability for rental customers. The role combines field travel with remote diagnostics to ensure rapid issue resolution.

Based in San Antonio, TX or Savannah, GA, the position involves up to 15% travel across North America and requires a strong background in power generation, diagnostics, and customer support. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to read advanced electrical schematics and control logic flows.
• Strong technical diagnostic skills on power generation equipment and components.
• 5 years of experience in power generation and internal combustion engine equipment, maintenance and repair.
• Experience working with large rental fleets preferred, but not required.
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Collaborative approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the enterprise.
• Ability to understand processes (system and non-system), troubleshoot, develop, and recommend solutions.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be a self-motivated team player.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate technical information to customers to support generator diagnostics and repair
• Maintain high level of phone and email response rates to customer enquiries
• Travel to support technical customer issues and provide product training as required
• Analyze warranty claims to identify any emerging product concerns
• Prioritize product quality concerns for resolution with the manufacturing and engineering teams
• Drive conformance to JCB standards for service concern closure and field action
