Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer in Springfield, MO to support operation and maintenance of power generation facilities and lead significant engineering projects ensuring reliability and safety.

You will investigate complex mechanical systems, oversee repair programs, and ensure compliance across coal plant facilities while collaborating across teams and stakeholders. A PE license is preferred and encouraged to maintain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 0–5 years of engineering experience, or more.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred and to maintain if acquired.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for operation and maintenance of power generation facilities.
• Lead intermediate to large-scale engineering projects with precision and expertise.
• Conduct investigations and provide critical analysis on complex mechanical systems.
• Oversee repair programs and pressure vessel inspections, ensuring compliance at coal plant facilities.
