Job summary

Dominion Energy is hiring for a part-time position at the Urquhart Station, offering 15 to 20 hours per week while a student pursues an associate degree. The role involves hands-on maintenance of power generation equipment, with focus on electrical and instrumentation systems and learning from experienced Maintenance Journeymen.

Applicants should be 18+, have an electronics or production operator pathway, and hold a valid driver’s license. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/instrumentation systems in power generation equipment.
• Support PLCs, VFDs, motor control systems, smart devices, and DCS.
• Learn and apply power plant maintenance practices with journeymen.
• Use technical drawings, blueprints, CAD systems, and other engineering docs.
• Help understand operation, maintenance, and reliability of plant equipment.
• Work in industrial environment with lifting, bending, and extended standing.
• Work indoors and outdoors, including adverse weather and near water areas.
