Job summary

Verto People Ltd. is seeking an HSE Manager to lead owner-side health, safety and environmental oversight on a major power generation project. You will head the site HSE team, ensure contractor compliance and exercise stop-work authority when required.

The role requires extensive construction safety leadership, ownership experience with EPC contractors, and strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards. CSP or related environmental permitting experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction safety leadership on major industrial projects.
• 5+ years representing an owner and overseeing EPC contractors under lump-sum contracts.
• OSHA 500 training and strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 requirements.
• Experience managing safety on sites with 1,500+ workers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
• CSP or equivalent certification and environmental permitting experience on new-build power projects would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set site HSE expectations and monitor contractor compliance.
• Review safety plans, job hazard analyses and high-risk work activities.
• Lead owner participation in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor safety performance and report trends to project leadership.
• Oversee environmental compliance and adherence to permit conditions.
• Deliver OSHA 30 training to the owner’s site team.
