Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and complete less complex repairs at the customer site in Portland, OR. The role includes performing maintenance, using diagnostic tools, and maintaining detailed service records while engaging customers professionally.

The position offers a sign-on bonus, relocation support, and competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities for ongoing certification and training on Cummins products.

Qualifications

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision on power generation products.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Proficient troubleshooting of generators, transfer switches and auxiliary components.
• Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and commissioning on new ATS installations.

Responsibilities

• Completing repair activities on generators or components.
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of service.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Ongoing development/certifications on Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
