Job summary

Indel Power Group is seeking a premium level Power Generation Field Service Technician for our Syracuse, NY location. The role requires extensive experience as a technician in power generation and field service, with a strong focus on safety and high-quality repairs.

You will work at Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and commissioning of generator sets, including large genset units with automatic transfer switches.

Qualifications

• Experienced technician in power generation or similar heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, and overhauls on generator sets.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in all tasks.
• Maintain communication with management about job status and changes.
• Use load banks for testing and repair of generator sets.
• Determine corrective action by inspecting failed parts.
• Order replacement parts and services efficiently.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to engines, generators, or components.
• Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with ATS.
