Job summary

Kirby Corporation is hiring a Power Generation Field Service Technician II to service generators in the Midland, TX area. You will install, commission, diagnose, repair and test power generation equipment, while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3+ years in power generation or diesel systems, ability to read schematics, and willingness to travel extensively. A high school diploma or GED with technical training is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in power generation, electrical systems, controls or diesel engines for industrial, marine, data center or critical power customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair generators.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service on power generation equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and technical documents and document findings in service reports.
• Communicate repair findings and provide basic training to customers when appropriate.
• Follow safety requirements and perform pre-job hazard assessments.
