Job summary

United Engines is seeking a Power Generation Field Service Technician II in Shreveport, LA, to identify abnormalities on customer power generation equipment and perform standard repairs at the customer's site. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, parts replacement, routine maintenance, and assisting senior technicians.

Qualifications require a HS diploma or GED with 2–4 years of related experience; strong communication skills; and basic computer/diagnostic tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related experience preferred.
• Basic computer navigation and MS Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose standard problems with power generation equipment.
• Perform standard repairs on generation equipment and related support equipment; replace as needed.
• Identify and order appropriate parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance per guidelines and schedule.
• Assist more senior technicians on larger jobs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow quality standards and safety procedures in all tasks.
• Conduct load bank tests to verify generator capacity under load.
• Lead generator commissioning activities and verify system installation and performance.
