Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and complete less complex repairs at the customer's site.

You will perform maintenance and repairs on generators and components, using diagnostic tools and maintaining thorough service records. The role requires broad mechanical and electrical repair skills, experience with high/low voltage systems, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
• Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and commissioning on new ATS installations.

Responsibilities

• Completing repair activities on generators or components.
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of service.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
