Job summary

Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a premium level experienced Power Generation Field Service Technician at our Quakertown, PA location. The role requires years of technician experience and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

You will diagnose, repair, and test generator sets, perform electrical and mechanical work, and coordinate parts and service calls.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technician in power generation.
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical repairs on generator sets.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and drive as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs, preventive maintenance, adjustments and overhauls on generator sets.
• Commit to safety and maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain open communication with management on job status and changes.
• Use load banks for testing and repair of generator sets.
• Determine corrective actions by inspecting failed parts.
• Order replacement parts and schedule services efficiently.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to engine, generator, or components.
• Startup and commissioning on large genset units with ATS.

This individual should have years of previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as mtu , Daimler/Mercedes, Perkins, PSI Engines, Detroit Diesel, Kohler, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo Penta . Key Responsibilities

• Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness
• Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
• Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
• Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
• Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
• Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
• This position requires occasional driving
