Job summary

United Engines, LLC. in the Midland, TX area is seeking a Power Generation Field Service Technician II to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and inspect on-site power generation equipment at customer locations.

You will serve as a technical resource for customers and project teams while ensuring work is safe and in compliance with company and manufacturer standards. Responsibilities include reading electrical schematics, performing load bank tests, and documenting findings in

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or technical training.
3+ years in power generation or diesel systems.
Experience servicing generators from major brands (Cummins, CAT, Kohler, MTU) or equivalent.
Knowledge of NFPA codes and OSHA regulations.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documents.
Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair generators.
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, control, and starting system issues.
Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation.
Document findings and parts usage in service reports.
Travel to customer sites and provide on-site training when appropriate.
Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on every job.
