Selectek, Inc. in Smyrna, GA is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function across power generation and distributed energy projects.

You will develop the team, set technical standards, allocate resources, and ensure safe, accurate, and cost-effective solutions meeting customer requirements. You will partner with sales, project management, service, and operations to manage technical risk, drive design, and support proposals and budgets while maintaining compliance with codes

Competenze

• Bachelors degree in electrical Engineer 8 plus years of progressively responsible engineering experience including supporting complex power generation or distributed energy projects
• 3 plus years as an engineering leader or supervisor
• Strong project planning, prioritization, decision making, and problem solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of CAD and Solidworks

• Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team including assigning work, setting priorities, establishing performance expectations, and supporting professional growth.
• Provide technical and managerial oversight for projects from initial concept through design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Plan engineering capacity and allocate resources based on project priorities, schedules, technical complexity, and business needs.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce engineering standards, design practices, review procedures, templates, and quality-control processes.
• Review and approve technical designs, single-line diagrams, layouts, specifications, calculations, equipment selections, and submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Serve as the senior technical resource for power generation, electrical distribution, controls, energy storage, microgrid, and related engineered systems.
• Partner with sales, project management, service, and operations leaders to support project development, technical strategy, execution planning, and issue resolution.
• Monitor engineering quality, workload, schedules, and key performance indicators; communicate risks, priorities, and resource needs to leadership.
• Lead design reviews, project reviews, and lessons-learned activities to improve quality, consistency, efficiency, and future project performance.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, succession planning, and retention of qualified engineering personnel.
