Job summary

Dynamis Power Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineering Manager to lead the controls engineering function for power generation equipment and control systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive controls engineering experience in power generation, gas turbines, energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial applications.
• 5+ years of leadership and people management experience.
• Strong experience with gas turbine control systems (GE Mark VIe and/or Woodward); Allen Bradley PLCs preferred.
• Knowledge of turbine generator controls: startup/shutdown sequencing, synchronization, load sharing, protection interfaces, instrumentation, and BOP controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, mentor, and manage the Controls Engineering team with clear expectations for performance and execution.
• Oversee resources, priorities, and schedules across multiple power generation product lines.
• Provide technical leadership for gas turbine and generator control systems (GE Mark VIe, Woodward, AB PLCs).
• Oversee control system architectures, PLC/turbine software, HMI/SCADA, I/O lists, and documentation.
• Establish and maintain controls engineering standards, documentation, revision control, and testing practices.
• Support FAT, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Drive standardization, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
