Job summary
SpaceXAI is building Colossus, the world’s largest AI supercomputer, in Memphis. As a Power Generation Engineer, you will oversee the reliable operation and optimization of our natural gas power plants, delivering high‑efficiency power to our datacenter and supporting groundbreaking AI infrastructure.
You will collaborate with electrical engineers and datacenter operations, perform maintenance and upgrades on turbines and control systems, lead incident analysis, and drive energy‑efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
- 5+ years in power generation with natural gas plants or turbines.
- Strong knowledge of turbine operations and control systems.
- Experience with safety, environmental regulations, and industry standards (ASME/IEEE).
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation of natural gas turbines and related equipment for reliability.
- Monitor and optimize power generation for datacenter needs.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers and datacenter teams.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on turbines and controls.
- Lead root cause analyses and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Develop energy efficiency and cost-reduction strategies.
