Job summary

Generac Power Systems in Sussex, WI is seeking a Power Generation Application Engineer in a developmental program designed to train you across industrial sales disciplines. You will learn to develop sales plans, market strategies, and programs to grow regional market share.

During training you will rotate through Learn, Develop, and Execute phases, travel up to 75%, and relocate if required after program completion, with opportunities to advance into a broader sales career.

Qualifications

Engineering degree required.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred: Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.
Willing to travel 75% and relocate outside of WI after program completion.
Engineer with 1–2 years of design experience.

Responsibilities

Learn corporate onboarding classes & LMS courses.
Complete facility tours and sales onboarding processes.
Generator 101 course work.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow sales and market share.
Learn to develop metrics for forecasting and budgeting.
Learn to manage and grow P&L.
Work with CI team to drive process improvements in sales.
Collaborate with Marketing on initiatives/packaging to drive sales.
Provide customer service and technical sales support to distribution and customers.
Rotate through Lead Gas, Telecom/GES and EPC structure models.
Rotate through SAP, Winchill and Genconnect.
Negotiate and close contracts.
Develop broad and deep account relationships.
Achieve contribution margin targets.
