Job summary

Runnings in Pekin, IL is seeking a Service Shop Technician (Full Time) to repair and maintain customer small power tools and equipment. You will identify mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues, perform necessary repairs, and provide high-quality customer service.

Must have basic mechanical knowledge and computer skills (Excel/Word); Silver Stihl certification is preferred. Hourly pay range is $17.00-$19.00 depending on experience, with on-site duties and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanic knowledge.
• Computer knowledge including Excel and Word.
• Silver Stihl Certified.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and service power equipment including mowers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, blowers, generators and pumps.
• Explain diagnosis and required repairs to customers, including warranty claims.
• Perform routine engine maintenance such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs.
• Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
• Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts.
• Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.
