Job summary

WHC LLC (A Surerus Murphy Company) in Overland Park, KS, seeks a Procurement Specialist to support the Power team. You will manage procurement activities, issue RFPs, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations for projects.

The role requires 2–3 years EPC experience in procurement of engineered equipment, with Solar/Power EPC project exposure preferred. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Legal, Technical / Engineering, Construction or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of EPC experience or purchasing engineered equipment.
• Experience with Solar/Power EPC projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract documents and manage bidding for proposals and projects.
• Lead bid evaluation and present recommendations to project teams.
• Evaluate and negotiate supplier pricing, capability, quality, and delivery.
• Implement and maintain procurement procedures on the ERP system.
• Lead negotiation and award processes and edit contracts as needed.
• Issue and expeditе purchase orders; manage documentation from vendors.
• Communicate procurement status with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support Procurement Manager on projects and proposals.
