Unico in Franksville, Wisconsin is seeking a Power Electronics Reliability Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on DFMEA and MTBF experience to drive reliability for power electronics products. This role emphasizes reliability over traditional testing, with a focus on identifying failure modes and mitigating risks before release.

The ideal candidate will review schematics and datasheets, understand SiC MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors, resistors, and gate drive circuits, and develop robust reliability

Competenze

• Experience leading or performing DFMEA on power electronics products.
• Experience developing MTBF/MTTF reliability calculations and models.
• Ability to review power electronics designs and identify potential failure modes and downstream impacts.
• Strong understanding of power electronic components including: SiC MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors, resistors, gate drive circuits.
• Ability to analyze what happens when components fail (shorts, opens, over-current, over-voltage, thermal events, noise susceptibility, etc.).
• Comfortable reviewing schematics, datasheets, and stress/derating conditions to identify reliability risks before product release.
