Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions Inc. is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Test Technician for power electronics production in Katy, TX. You’ll run inspections, acceptance tests, and troubleshoot on real test equipment like DMMs, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.

This role emphasizes practical troubleshooting over checklists, with autonomy to run your testing process in a team setting. An Applied Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

  • Two-year technical degree in Applied Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in power electronics and reading electrical schematics
  • Experience operating standard test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, isolation testers)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong communication

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual (pre-power) inspections on all product lines
  • Conduct production line acceptance testing, including insulation and function tests
  • Troubleshoot failed units and provide timely solutions
  • Record test results and complete required test reports and documentation
  • Report issues found on failed units
  • Perform some mechanical assembly and handle large gauge cables
  • Work from technical instructions, drawings, and procedures
