Job summary

North Atlantic Industries, Inc. is seeking an Intern – Electrical Engineer (Power) to support the design, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of power-related electronic products and prototypes. You will gain hands‑on engineering experience while contributing to product development and production support at NAI.

This internship is for Summer 2027 and offers exposure to DSP controller programming, test procedures, and documentation. Monday–Friday, day shift with standard internship compensation.

Qualifications

• Pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical circuits, schematic capture, and power-supply fundamentals.
• Demonstrate proficiency with standard Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Communicate effectively and apply analytical problem-solving skills.
• Candidates must be a U.S. Person (citizen or Green Card) and able to provide documentation at hire.

Responsibilities

• Build and evaluate prototype circuitry under engineering guidance.
• Develop, review, modify, and validate C and assembly code for DSP controllers.
• Test and debug electronic hardware to the component level.
• Develop test procedures and document engineering evaluations of products and requirements.
• Support investigation and resolution of design issues affecting production hardware.
• Create and maintain schematics using engineering design tools.
• Support programming, automated testing, and technical reporting activities for power-related products.
