Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Hardware Team Lead in Southfield, Michigan. The role requires strong technical expertise in circuit design and leadership for automotive projects, specifically Power Distribution Boxes.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on circuit design skills.
  • Experience with schematic tools (DxDesigner preferred).
  • Solid PCB design/layout exposure.
  • Background in Power Distribution / automotive LV & HV systems.
  • Simulation experience (SPICE) and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to design, analyze, and validate circuits independently.

  • Perform and support testing activities.
  • Communicate issues clearly to customers.

Hardware Team Lead

must combine strong technical expertise with leadership, customer‑facing communication, and delivery responsibility. The project focuses on Power Distribution Boxes (PDB / BDU) for automotive client and experience in low and high voltage environments is critical.

Key Requirements
  • Strong hands‑on circuit design skills
  • Experience with schematic tools (DxDesigner preferred; Altium, or Cadence, etc. accepted if strong)
  • Solid PCB design/layout exposure
  • Background in Power Distribution / automotive LV & HV systems
  • Simulation experience (SPICE) and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to design, analyze, and validate circuits independently
Strong Experience in
  • Power supply design
  • MOSFET‑based circuits
  • Worst‑case analysis (must‑have)
  • Testing, validation, and board bring‑up (critical)
Additional Responsibilities
  • Design and review schematics, PCB layouts, and test cases
  • Perform and support testing activities (this is done by the team, not a separate function)
  • Communicate issues clearly to customers
  • Lead and guide team members across locations
  • Deliver milestones on time

Tools like DOORS and JIRA for requirements tracking are a plus.
