Power Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Design, test, and validate inverter and converter power electronics, control systems, and various auxiliary components for traction, propulsion, and related applications (railway rolling stock, light rail vehicles, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE).
  • Several years of relevant full-time experience.
  • Experience with designing high power electronics, converters (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC), three-phase motors, switching devices, Si/SiC MOSFET, IGBT, etc.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, LTSpice/QSpice, etc.
Screening Questions:
  1. Do you have hands-on experience in architecting/designing and controlling inverters, AC-DC, DC-AC, DC-DC converters?
  2. Do you have experience in sizing switching devices and filter components?
  3. Do you have experience comparing, analyzing, understanding, and controlling the characteristics and performance of silicon vs silicon carbide switching devices for the applications mentioned above?
