Requirements
- Experience designing a high-power converter or motor drive that was built and drove a real load
- Experience integrating a drive with a motor designed by another person
- Experience troubleshooting EMC, harmonic, or bearing-current problems to their root cause
- Experience writing and enforcing electrical safe work practices
- Experience powering up a test cell or first-of-a-kind installation and determining when it was safe to close the breaker
- Bonus: high-speed and magnetic-bearing drive systems
- Bonus: electric propulsion and aerospace power systems, including eVTOL, satellite EPS, and electric pump-fed engines
- Bonus: 800 V class DC architectures and wide-bandgap devices such as SiC and GaN
- Bonus: test cell power and safe practices around energized work, including test benches, load banks, and regenerative drives
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
