Job summary

Mainspring Energy in the United States is seeking a power electronics engineer to shape the Linear Generator’s power electronics systems. Design, implement, and test hardware from concept through production, delivering high-efficiency, low-emission power solutions.

You will bring up and certify power electronics designs, troubleshoot lab and field issues, collaborate with the NPI team and suppliers, and push reliability improvements while communicating clearly across engineering groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2-5 years of power electronics experience.
• Experience with 480VAC/800VDC HV systems.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and component selection.

Responsibilities

• Design custom power electronics hardware for the Linear Generator.
• Bring-up, validate, and qualify power electronics designs.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in lab, production, and field.
• Collaborate with NPI and suppliers to improve manufacturability and testability.
• Partner with reliability engineers to improve electrical hardware reliability.
• Own and communicate about hardware systems you design.
