Join a cutting-edge engineering organization focused on the design and development of advanced power conversion solutions. In this role, you will be a key contributor in the development of next-generation DC/DC power products, driving innovation from concept through production while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, manufacturing partners, and customers.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on power electronics engineer with deep expertise in power conversion design, high-frequency magnetics, and switching power supplies, along with a proven track record of bringing products from concept through commercialization.
This role will pay between $125,000 to $140,000 plus great benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced DC/DC power conversion products utilizing innovative power electronics technologies.
- Lead all phases of product development from concept, design, prototyping, testing, qualification, and manufacturing release.
- Design and analyze:
- DC/DC power converters
- High-frequency magnetic components
- Analog and mixed-signal circuits
- Power management and control circuits
- Perform component selection, evaluation, simulation, testing, and validation.
- Develop functional specifications and detailed engineering documentation.
- Conduct PCB layout reviews to ensure optimal electrical, thermal, and manufacturability performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex design, performance, and reliability issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, test, and product engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Interface directly with customers to understand technical requirements and support product development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing power electronics products.
- Experience designing one or more of the following:
- AC/DC Power Supplies
- Voltage Regulator Modules (VRMs)
- Strong knowledge of switching power supply topologies, power converter architectures, and control methodologies.
- Experience using simulation and modeling tools for power electronics design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of PCB layout techniques for high-power and high-frequency applications.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI design principles and compliance requirements.
- Experience with feedback control systems and compensation techniques.
- Familiarity with analog and digital interface circuitry.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience designing products for high-reliability, industrial, telecommunications, aerospace, defense, or data center applications.
- Proven experience bringing products from concept through production release.
- Experience leading technical projects or mentoring junior engineers.
- Knowledge of thermal management and reliability analysis for power conversion systems
