Job summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage seeks a Technical Support Engineer (L2) to backstop field operations for industrial drives, converters, and control systems. You will analyze complex issues, perform FAT/SAT support, and help streamline troubleshooting guides.

You’ll collaborate with engineering and field teams, develop technical docs, and maintain safety and cybersecurity standards across deployments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years experience.
Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 3+ years experience.
Experience with industrial drives, converters, or automation systems.
Strong understanding of motor control and AC/DC converter systems.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and work off-hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 technical support for GE Vernova PCS products, including Medium Voltage drives and PECe controllers.
Assist Field Service Engineers and customers in troubleshooting complex issues remotely or on-site.
Support commissioning and validation of electrical power conversion systems (FAT/SAT).
Develop and maintain technical instructions, service bulletins, and guides.
Conduct root cause analysis and feed insights back to engineering teams.
Collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Field Services.
Participate in training and knowledge-base development.
Ensure adherence to GE safety, quality, and cybersecurity protocols.
