Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control seeks a Power Electronics Circuit Card Design Engineer to own end-to-end power CCAs for missiles and sensor subsystems, from architecture through prototype build and test.

You will collaborate with systems, electromechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to meet performance, environmental and security requirements while driving program schedules; emphasis on derating, thermal, and EMI considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in circuit design engineering, with a focus on power electronics.
• Experience designing and analyzing power supply circuits (linear regulators, switching converters) or power distribution networks.
• Experience with Siemens Xpedition or equivalent for schematic capture; Cadence PSpice or equivalent for simulation.
• US citizenship; ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end creation of power CCAs—from architecture and schematic capture to EPCAD layout, prototype build and test.
• Lead architecture, schematic capture and EPCAD layout for power supply and power distribution CCAs.
• Design and analyze linear and switching power converters to meet efficiency, ripple, transient and thermal requirements.
• Perform derating and worst-case analyses for power components; conduct circuit simulations to validate functionality and margins.
• Deliver complete design assurance packages for senior review; manage BOM and prototype build activities.
