Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Maintenance Helper for the Power Distribution team. You will assist in operations of the power distribution system up to 138KV, support electricians, and help maintain and repair equipment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum of two years' experience in electrical.

Responsibilities

• Operations of power distribution system.
• Maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Perform equipment LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out).
• Maintain LOTO check sheets.
• Maintain a preventive/predictive maintenance program.
• Test assets using specialty computer equipment and software.
• Repair on power distribution system apparatus including transformers, breakers, generators, reactors, cables, switches, relays etc.
• Responsible for maintaining electrical manholes.
• Provide installation of power distribution equipment and pull medium voltage cable.
• Issue work permits to groups performing work in manholes, on substations or gear, and in distribution buildings.
