Job summary

Disaster Resource Group in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Designer I, Power Distribution to apply technical skills to design complex projects and provide expertise in safe, cost-effective distribution power facilities for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This full-time position requires an associate degree or BS in engineering with utility experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or BS in Engineering and utility experience preferred.
• Proficient in algebra, geometry, trig, science and measurement units.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to read and interpret documents and blueprints.
• Strong basic math and engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project packages with material lists, requisitions, and labor estimates.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, change orders, and specs.
• Perform drafting and assist in design and report preparation.
• Apply safety policies 100% of the time.
• Communicate status and coordinate with clients and teams.
