Job summary

McNaughton McKay Group is seeking a Power Specialist in Columbus, OH to support electrical distribution sales and project bids. You will respond to quotation requests, prepare bills of materials, and price equipment using vendor software and company systems.

The role emphasizes understanding customer needs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting product launches across markets. This position reports to the Construction Sales Manager and requires travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, sales, marketing or a technical field.
• Advanced sales skills including proven communication and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to determine customer needs and to follow through on commitments.
• Work history showing self-motivation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer quotation requests by obtaining quotes and bills of material from suppliers for equipment proposals.
• Develop bills of materials for equipment from plans and specifications.
• Price equipment using vendor software, company system, spreadsheets, and quotes.
• Coordinate project bidding strategy and shipping requirements with internal teams.
