Actalent is seeking an Electrical Designer/Drafter in Southaven, MS to create and update electrical schematics for power generation, distribution, and data center infrastructure. You will work with engineers to translate concepts into precise drawings, ensure redlines are incorporated, and maintain strict documentation control in a high-visibility project.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD (Electrical) and experience with high voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience creating and modifying electrical schematics and drawings.
• Minimum 6 years of electrical drafting experience in power/industrial environments preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical drafting and updating documentation.
• Experience with power distribution systems, substations, and large facilities.
• Ability to interpret redlines and update controlled drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation control.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and modify electrical schematics for power generation, distribution, and data center infrastructure.
• Translate design concepts into accurate electrical drawings with engineers.
• Incorporate engineering redlines and revisions while maintaining version integrity.
• Maintain organized electrical documentation and ensure project standards compliance.
• Support critical power systems including plants, substations, and utilities.
• Update drawings to reflect design changes and field modifications.
• Manage multiple drawing revisions and timely delivery of updated docs.
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and field personnel to resolve issues.
• Ensure drawing control processes during construction and expansion phases.
• Work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
