  • Provide inputs for design changes to improve design robustness and maintainability.

D376 is seeking motivated Engineers to support the construction and testing of Power Conversion Modules (PCMs) for COLUMBIA Class submarines. PCMs convert power from the medium voltage propulsion system to supply all AC and DC loads in the ship’s power distribution system. This role provides an opportunity for “hands on” work that contributes directly to delivering a power distribution system that operates reliably “the first time, every time” while gaining experience in shipyard operations and electrical power systems in a collaborative engineering environment. This position will be on 2nd shift.

What You Will Do as a PCM construction support engineer
  • Develop troubleshooting strategies and write procedures for shipyard execution

Qualifications
Required qualifications:
  • B.S. in Engineering
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the U.S. DoD (candidate must be U.S. citizen)
  • 5 or more years post-graduate engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with electrical power systems, power distribution, or electro-mechanical equipment
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in a technical, engineering, or shipyard environment
