Job summary

M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY seeks a BI Visualization Specialist to develop advanced visuals and dashboards using Power BI. You will structure and publish dashboards, collaborate with data teams to prepare data, and ensure visual consistency with templates and standards.

Strong SQL and DAX skills are expected, plus experience with REST APIs in Power BI. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 3+ years of dashboard/reporting experience, and a solid grasp of data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience creating dashboards and reporting using Power BI.
• Experience using SQL to analyze, extract, and transform data.
• Experience using DAX for data extraction and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Leverage BI platforms to create advanced visuals and dashboards.
• Publish dashboards/reports and manage access and permissions.
• Collaborate with data teams to query and structure data for visualizations.
• Support diagnostics and descriptive analytics to identify trends and outliers.
• Create visuals using established templates and themes for consistency.
• Support user acceptance testing of data visualizations and document defects.
