Job summary

ClearCaptions is seeking an experienced BI Report Developer to design, build, and optimize Power BI reports from Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, and Synapse data. You will craft KPIs, implement row-level security, and collaborate with data engineers to ensure fast, accurate insights for executives.

You will analyze complex data, tell compelling stories with visuals, and present findings to senior stakeholders, while supporting data governance and on-call duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
• Experience with structured data from Tabular Models, SQL Server, and Synapse Analytics.
• Proficiency in writing complex DAX expressions and calculations.
• Familiarity with Power BI security mechanisms and data modeling.
• Strong presentation skills for executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Create complex calculations, measures, and KPIs using DAX.
• Implement row-level security in Power BI.
• Collaborate with data engineering to optimize data models.
• Manage Fabric capacity and monitor performance.
• Contribute to data governance and change control processes.
• Analyze data, extract insights, and craft data-driven narratives.
• Present findings to executive stakeholders clearly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot performance and data issues; support on-call as needed.
