Job summary

ExlService Holdings, Inc. is seeking an analytics-focused professional to design and deliver Power BI-based dashboards and data reports across insurance data sources.

The role emphasizes strong SQL capabilities, data modeling, and visualization best practices to support executive decision-making. The candidate will translate business questions into analytical dashboards, investigate data quality issues, and optimize data models for performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modeling, relationships, drill-through, bookmarks, filters, and visualization best practices.
• Experience building complex dashboards and executive or business reporting solutions.
• Understanding of Power BI performance optimization and data model design.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, and complex transformations.
• Experience analyzing and reconciling data across multiple tables and data sources.
• Good understanding of relational databases, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to investigate data-quality issues and independently perform root-cause analysis.
• Good understanding of insurance data and business processes, preferably within Property & Casualty insurance.
• Familiarity with policy, coverage, exposure, premium, claims, losses, reserves, limits, deductibles, brokers or agents, and underwriting.
• Ability to understand insurance KPIs and translate business questions into analytical reports and dashboards.
• Experience working with policy, claims, underwriting, or premium-related datasets is preferred.
