Hunton Services a division of the Hunton Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to design, develop, and manage reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to support business decisions. This role requires advanced Excel skills, experience with ETL processes, and proficiency in Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data integration, reporting processes, and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot data systems to ensure quality and accuracy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions and maintain high-quality data reporting and systems for division such as commercial, light commercial and industrial HVAC.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and analyze reports using platforms such as Power BI, WennSoft, CRM, as well as other platforms, providing both current and historical data insights.
• Develop and maintain PBI dashboards and Excel workbooks for Hunton Services that aggregate data from multiple sources and present it with minimal user manipulation required.
• Identify patterns and inconsistencies in data to highlight potential areas of financial or operational concern for commercial and industrial.
• Provide data insights and collaborate with Commercial Service Business Analysts to develop solutions for data discrepancies or performance issues in the business.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data architecture and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Integrate and map data sources, ensuring smooth data flow and dimensional data modeling for reporting solutions for multiple business units.
• Perform data integration and troubleshoot issues within the Microsoft SQL Server BI platform.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to document project requirements and determine appropriate reporting and ETL solutions.
• Track project development progress and ensure timely delivery of reports and system updates.
• Conduct software and report testing for quality assurance and resolve any issues that arise during development stages.
• Present project updates, developments, and final products to leadership and management teams for Hunton Services.
• Develop strategies to streamline data storage, accessibility, and reporting processes for greater efficiency.
• Document the functionality and components of software/reports, to maintain organized records of data tables, report designs, and code.
• Ensure adherence to coding and architecture standards, emphasizing clean, maintainable code and effective reporting solutions for the business.
• Monitor the operational health of reporting and data systems, performing ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.

Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, macros, and data visualization.
• Strong working knowledge of T-SQL and familiarity with other programming languages such as DAX, Python, or VBA.
• Solid understanding of the ETL process and experience with data integration and mapping.
• Expertise in Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Experience with data warehouse solutions and operational monitoring of BI platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server BI).
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• 2-3 years of experience working with Power BI, ETL processes, and report development.
• Experience with financial data analysis is a PLUS.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server) are strongly preferred.
• Proven experience collaborating across functional teams to achieve business objectives.
