Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to design, develop, and manage reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to support business decisions. This role requires advanced Excel skills, experience with ETL processes, and proficiency in Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data integration, reporting processes, and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot data systems to ensure quality and accuracy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions and maintain high-quality data reporting and systems for divisions such as commercial, light commercial, and industrial HVAC.

Responsibilities

1. Generate and analyze reports using platforms such as Power BI, WennSoft, CRM, and other platforms, providing current and historical data insights.
2. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel workbooks that aggregate data from multiple sources and present it with minimal user manipulation.
3. Identify patterns and inconsistencies in data to highlight potential financial or operational concerns for commercial and industrial sectors.
4. Provide data insights and collaborate with Business Analysts to develop solutions for data discrepancies or performance issues.
5. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data architecture and ETL processes.
6. Integrate and map data sources, ensuring smooth data flow and dimensional data modeling.
7. Perform data integration and troubleshoot issues within the Microsoft SQL Server BI platform.
8. Work closely with teams to document project requirements and determine appropriate reporting and ETL solutions.
9. Track project progress and ensure timely delivery of reports and updates.
10. Conduct testing for quality assurance and resolve issues during development.
11. Present project updates and final products to leadership.
12. Develop strategies to streamline data storage, accessibility, and reporting processes.
13. Document software and report functionalities, maintaining organized records.
14. Ensure adherence to coding and architecture standards, emphasizing clean, maintainable code.
15. Monitor operational health of reporting and data systems, performing ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Expertise in Power BI for visualization, reporting, and dashboards.
• Experience with data warehouse solutions and BI platform monitoring.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).

• Proven experience working across teams to meet objectives.
