Job description

This position is for a Power BI Developer with a strong background in SQL and data warehousing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and metrics for clients in the credit union industry. Additionally, they will be expected to coach and mentor other team members on Power BI concepts and technologies.

This is a fully remote position within the United States with a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics using Power BI Desktop.
2. Establish and adhere to Power BI development best practices.
3. Create and manage semantic models, datasets, and data flows.
4. Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules, and distribution.
5. Utilize specialized business technologies in the Microsoft stack, such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and Power BI Report Builder.
6. Conduct unit testing to ensure the accuracy and validity of reports and data integrity.
7. Provide training to internal and client users on BI reporting tools and reports.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity and performance issues.
9. Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, create documentation, and provide project updates.
10. Work with clients/analysts to define data requirements and update requirement documents.
11. Collaborate with the technical manager to translate business requirements into relevant reports, dashboards, and metrics.

Experience:

1. 3 years experience in building reports, dashboards, and metrics using Power BI.
2. Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Report Server, and DAX Studio.
3. Knowledge of business intelligence, data warehouse, and data architecture technologies.
4. Proficiency in using source control software like GitHub and Azure DevOps.
5. Preferred experience with credit union and bank vendors (Fiserv DNA, Symitar Episys, Corelation Keystone, MeridianLink, Temenos, nCino, Fiserv, FICS, etc.).
