Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare organization, seeks an experienced Power BI Developer to support modernization of operational reporting by rebuilding Salesforce-based reporting with ServiceNow data.

You will design and deploy Power BI dashboards, translate requirements, and troubleshoot data issues to empower operations and leadership with actionable insights.

Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare company, is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support the development and modernization of operational reporting by rebuilding existing Salesforce-based reporting functionality using ServiceNow data. This role will develop Power BI dashboards and reports that allow operational teams and business leaders to search, analyze, and review ticket information without requiring direct access to ServiceNow or ServiceNow ITIL licenses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using data sourced from ServiceNow.
• Recreate existing Salesforce-based reporting functionality and business logic using ServiceNow data.
• Develop reporting solutions that provide visibility into ticket details, ticket status, aging, completion information, and user access requests.
• Develop new Power BI dashboards and reporting capabilities for operational users and business leaders.
• Develop a strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model, tables, fields, relationships, and underlying data structures to ensure accurate reporting.
• Translate business and operational requirements into effective Power BI reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot data, reporting, and technical issues and independently work through roadblocks to resolution.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure reports and dashboards align with existing business logic and requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, identify gaps, and refine dashboard functionality.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables from requirements gathering and development through testing, troubleshooting, and final completion.
• Document reporting logic, data sources, and key processes as needed.

Job Must Haves:

• Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow and ServiceNow data.
• Demonstrated understanding of the underlying ServiceNow data model, including how ticket and request information is structured and related.
• Experience translating existing reporting logic or requirements from one data source/platform into another.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and work through technical roadblocks independently.
• Ability to take ownership of deliverables and drive work through completion with minimal oversight.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data accuracy.
