What You'll Do (Typical Responsibilities Across Client Engagements)

• Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and visualization requirements
• Connect Power BI to SQL databases, Excel files, APIs, cloud platforms, and other data sources
• Develop efficient data models using Power BI and related data technologies
• Write and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations
• Use Power Query (M) to clean, transform, and prepare data for reporting
• Create interactive dashboards, KPIs, charts, tables, and other business visualizations
• Perform data validation and troubleshoot data-quality and reporting issues
• Optimize Power BI reports and datasets for performance and usability
• Support scheduled data refreshes, gateways, workspaces, and deployment workflows
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, developers, and business teams
• Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and user acceptance activities
• Follow BI development standards, security practices, and governance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related field
• 0–3 years of professional, internship, academic, or hands‑on experience in Power BI, Business Intelligence, or data analytics
• Hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational database concepts
• Working knowledge of DAX and Power Query
• Understanding of data visualization and dashboard design principles
• Familiarity with data modeling, relationships, dimensions, measures, and star‑schema concepts
• Experience working with Excel and common business data formats
• Familiarity with Git or collaborative development workflows is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and presentation skills
