Job summary

Astronautics seeks a skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to design, develop, validate, deploy, and maintain BI dashboards and reporting solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will bridge business needs, governed data products, and technical implementation while applying human-centered design and AI-assisted tools with governance controls.

This hybrid on-site role at our Oak Creek, WI headquarters reports to the Senior Manager, BI & Data Science, with involvement across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or another related field.
• 3-5 years of BI, analytics, reporting, data analysis, or dashboard development experience.
• Proficiency with Power BI including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, report/dashboard interface development, and publishing.
• SQL proficiency for data querying, validation, and analysis.
• Experience with Python and/or R for analytics.
• Experience with AI-assisted productivity tools in a professional environment.
• Ability to apply human-centered design practices to BI work.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and communicate insights.
• Understanding of data governance concepts (quality, ownership, lineage, access).
• Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into actionable BI deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, deploy, and maintain BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Bridge business needs, governed data products, dashboard design, and technical implementation.
• Support full BI lifecycle: intake, requirements, development, QA, deployment and maintenance.
• Leverage human-centered design methods in BI lifecycle while ensuring governance.
• Monitor dashboard adoption and performance for continuous improvement.
