Job summary

Karman Space and Defense is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to turn enterprise data into trusted reporting and actionable insight that improves visibility, financial confidence, and decision-making. You design and support dashboards, semantic models, and recurring reporting, partnering closely with ERP stakeholders and the enterprise data organization to create reliable, scalable BI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, ERP reporting, or business systems analysis.
• Experience building reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions for business users.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills with data concepts and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Power BI Desktop/Service, DAX, Power Query, dataflows, gateways, and security.
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise BI platform; Microsoft Power BI preferred.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains BI dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports.
• Translates requirements into reporting specifications, data models, and visuals.
• Develops and optimizes Power BI reports, semantic models, and dataflows.
• Manages Power BI workspace practices, gateways, security, and refresh schedules.
• Partners with ERP and business systems owners to understand data structures and reporting gaps.
• Supports reporting across ERP processes and assists with data validation and cleanup.
• Analyzes data to identify trends and communicates insights to varied audiences.
• Builds BI datasets and documented data sources, lineage, and calculations.
• Supports workshops and user acceptance testing for reporting needs.
• Assists executive reporting, portfolio visibility, and benefits realization with concise outputs.
