Job summary

KBR seeks a Data Engineer & Analytics Steward to manage the end-to-end data lifecycle in a hybrid role based near Huntsville, AL. You will design robust data pipelines, ensure data integrity, govern metadata, and deliver actionable insights through Power BI visualizations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in data engineering or BI, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance, with strong SQL skills and experience with MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering, database administration, BI, or data governance.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• ETL data from multiple sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Automate data processes and optimize data delivery infrastructure.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, data quality standards, and compliance protocols.
• Act as the primary point of contact for data-related inquiries, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across the organization.
• Maintain data catalogs and metadata repositories.
• Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate complex business requirements into intuitive data visualizations. Utilize advanced DAX and Power Query to model data effectively for end-user consumption.
• Architect, query, and manage relational and non-relational databases. Monitor database performance, execute routine maintenance, and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues.
• Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries to support both engineering pipelines and reporting tools.
