Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Power BI Developer / Business Analyst to design and deliver polished dashboards and semantic data models.

You will validate data across sources, trace lineage, and collaborate with business units to translate needs into effective analytics. The role emphasizes not just visualization but deriving business value from data, requiring quick learning of new systems and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Intermediate Power BI experience including DAX, data modeling, semantic models, report design, performance tuning, and row/column-level security.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to learn new business systems, tools, terminology and processes quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience researching unfamiliar data and translating it into trusted reporting structures.
• Strong SQL Server experience including T-SQL, views and stored procedures.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (facts, dimensions, grain, star/snowflake).
• Experience validating data and dashboards across sources to ensure accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop polished Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Validate dashboards/datasets against source systems and legacy reports.
• Trace data from sources through SQL, Fabric and reports to validate accuracy.
• Research existing SQL Server VP/DataMart datasets and Fabric assets.
• Design and maintain curated datasets and semantic models in Fabric.
• Collaborate with internal clients to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Document dataset definitions, business rules, data lineage and limitations.
• Support cross-functional reporting needs across front-office and operations.
